Copyeditors perform critical readings of written
material before it is set into type or published electronically.
The copyeditor will find and correct errors in spelling,
grammar, punctuation, usage, style and structure,
(i.e. transposed words). He will also check tables,
charts and photographs to insure that they are correct
and properly labeled He may also check for factual
accuracy and libelous statements.
What I Offer
I will provide you with a quality finished product,
checked for errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation,
consistency of style and—if appropriate—classical,
historical and geographic accuracy.
I will also point out portions of your document
that may be grammatically correct, but may also
seem obscure or confusing to your readers.
Price Guidelines
General Documents
$30.00 per hour.
Technical Documents
$40.00 per hour.
A discounted rate or flat fee may be arranged
for publishers or repeat clients.
Additional expenses such as long distance charges,
copying and postage will be billed to the client
as necessary.
30% of the estimated total fee is required before I begin work on your document.
What I Need From You
Five pages from the middle of your document to
allow me to estimate the time required to copyedit
the entire work. Keep in mind, an estimate is just
that. It may take me more or less than the estimated
time to complete my work.
I accept manuscripts in either electronic or hardcopy form,

My work for you will be in the strictest confidence.
I will never sell or disclose your name, email address
or other information for any purpose or promotion, unless
otherwise agreed upon.
